AVON, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University baseball team, off the complete game gem from senior right handed pitcher Augie Gallardo (Hemet, Calif.-Hemet (Mt. San Jacinto College)), won their second consecutive Mid-American Conference tournament game and advanced to day four of the championships with a 6-1 win over the University of Toledo, Friday May 27 at All Pro Freight Stadium.
It was the performance on the mound of the veteran Gallardo that led the way for EMU, pitching his first career complete game while only allowing one run on five hits and tallying six strikeouts.
