(EMUEagles.com) – Consistency was key for the Eastern Michigan University women's golf team in the opening round of the Low Country Invitational on the par 71, 5,713-yard Crescent Pointe Golf Club course. Four Eagles reside in the top-11 places, while the team is just shot behind co-leaders Wingate and Montevallo.
Head Coach Stephanie Jennings' crew shot a first round score of 14-over 298, shooting their fourth sub-300 round of the year. Mid-American Conference foe Western Michigan is directly on the Eagles' heels with a 299.
Junior Preaw Sripatrprasite (Bangkok, Thailand-Siam International) highlighted the EMU attack with a one-over 72 in the round.
