NORMAN, Okla. (EMUEagles.com) — Four members of the Eastern Michigan University men's golf team were named Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars, the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced today, July 22. Earning the honor for the Eagles were Ty Celone (Long Sault, Ontario, Canada-St Joseph's Catholic), Zack Mason (Toronto, Ontario, Canada-Blyth Academy Lawrence Park), MJ Smith (Rockford, Ill.-Winnebago), and Max Watson (Ashland, Ohio-Ashland).
All told, 440 NCAA Division I athletes from 157 schools earned 2021-22 Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar honors
To be eligible for Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their Associate's Degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA.
