YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Classes might not be in session at Eastern Michigan University, but for former women's golfer Karyn Lee Ping (Brampton, Ontario, Canada-St. Augustine Secondary School) will be back in school this week. Lee Ping, who played for EMU from 2011-16, will be in Rancho Mirage, Calif., this week, Aug. 24-27, for stage one of LPGA Qualifying School.
The Brampton, Ontario product is part of a 362-player field competing to make the second stage of Q-School.
Stage one will be Thursday through Sunday at the Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage.
