BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (EMUEagles.com) – Former Eastern Michigan University football player Terry Myrick (2017-21) was selected by the Michigan Panthers with the fifth overall pick in the 29th round of the United States Football League (USFL) Draft today, Feb. 23.
Myrick was the first outside linebacker selected by the Panthers in this year's draft.
The USFL is a professional American football league that is set to begin play in April. A once-popular spring football league by the same name operated between 1983-86 (officially dissolved in 1990). The revamped league features an eight-team field divided into a north and south division.
