NASSAU, Bahamas (EMUEagles.com) - Leaving behind the winter blast of Ypsilanti, the Eastern Michigan University football team arrived in Nassau, Bahamas Monday afternoon, Dec. 19, to get ready for the 2016 Popeyes Bahamas Bowl.
"It was one degree when we got on the plane this morning and 80 when we landed," redshirt senior Darien Terrell (Canton, Ohio-Massilon Jackson) said. "It is awesome to get to get to come down here in December, get away from the snow, and play our last game of the season in a tropical place."
The Eagles will break their 29-year bowl game drought when they participate in the third annual Bahamas Bowl.
