YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University redshirt junior Willy Fink (Maumee, Ohio-Maumee) was recognized for his academic excellence Thursday, May 26, as the distance runner for EMU's track and field team was named to the Academic All-District Men's Track and Field/Cross Country First Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSida). The award marked the second consecutive season in which Fink garnered the distinction.
Fink, a master's student studying chemistry, boasts a 3.87 grade point average. At the MAC Championships, the Maumee, Ohio product was named Most Valuable Performer and First Team All-MAC after winning both the 5,000 meter run and 3,000 meter steeplechase.
