CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University tennis team saw two student-athletes earn Mid-American Conference postseason honors, announced by the league office Friday, April 29.
Freshman Prerna Vichare (Mumbai, India-College of Commerce and Economics) was voted onto the All-MAC Second Team, while redshirt senior Luisa Pelayo (Porto, Portugal-Colegio CEBES (Wright State)) garnered the Leann Grimes Davidge Sportsmanship Award.
Vichare ended her freshman season 10-14 in singles action this spring, playing the majority of her matches at No. 2 (9-12). In doubles, where she played all but one contest with classmate Sabina Brichackova (Cheb, Czech Republic-Gymnazium Jana Blahoslava), the Mumbai, India native finished 19-5.
