CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University tennis team claimed both Mid-American Conference weekly honors, the league office announced Wednesday, March 24. Redshirt junior Vasavi Ganesan (Tamil Nadu, India-Algappa Matriculation School (Eastern Florida State)) earned MAC Singles Player of the Week and the doubles pairing of redshirt juniors Luisa Pelayo (Porto, Portugal-Colegio Cebes (Wright State)) and Grace Whitney (Imlay City, Mich.-Imlay City (Wright State)) were named MAC Doubles Team of the Week.
Ganesan collected her second conference honor after earning a total of two singles wins last weekend against Western Michigan, March 19, and Miami, March 21.
