YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Scott Hall, head coach of the Eastern Michigan University soccer program, announced his team's 2022 season schedule today, July 12, with the Eagles set to play 18 matches, including eight at home at Scicluna Field. The Eagles get things underway officially with a visit from Western Illinois on Thursday, August 18, in a 5 p.m. start.
NOTING THE SCHEDULE
• EMU will play 18 matches in the regular season including eight home matches at Scicluna Field
• The Eagles enter the season 245-223-60 all-time as a program, leaving them five wins shy of the 250-win milestone
• Speaking of milestones, EMU needs eight goals to reach 800 all-time on its ledger
• Defensively, two shutouts this year will mark 150 all-time while three at home would bring the all-time total to 75
• EMU's seven non-conference matches will come against seven different conferences, including the first-ever meeting with a team from the Ivy League and will face an SEC foe for just the second time ever and the first time in nearly 21 years
• New for 2022: the NCAA has amended its rules in regards to overtime.
