NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (EMUEagles.com) – Despite firing the second lowest round in program-history 290, the Eastern Michigan University women's golf team was only able to move up three spots to finish in fourth-place at the 2016 Mid-American Conference Championship with a three-day cumulative score of 896 (296-310-290). Kent State University captured the tournament title, finishing at four-over par 868 (294-285-289) on the par-72, 6,257 yard Purgatory Golf Club course.
Overall it was a very successful weekend for the Eagles, as EMU's 54-hole score shattered the program's previous MAC Championship low by 29 strokes which was set in 2003 at Walden Ponds in Hamilton, Ohio, with a 925 (309-317-299).
