BOSTON, Mass. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University rowing team competed in the highly-touted 53rd annual Head of the Charles Saturday, Oct. 21, in Boston, Mass. Going against a field of 40 boats, the Green and White overcame a collision to improve upon its seed by 14 places.
"The Charles is such a huge race and rowing experience that it is hard to stay focused your first time here," Head Coach Kemp Savage said. "After a pretty rocky and rushed practice session on Friday afternoon we made a lot of adjustments physically and mentally for Saturday's race.
