EMU Rower Kinkade Participates in US Under 23 ID Camp

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Eastern Michigan University sophomore rower Baylee Kinkade (Portage, Mich.-Portage Central) had a tremendous opportunity this past November, competing on the national stage at the 2016 US Under 23 Identification Camp in Princeton, N.J.

The camp gave Kinkade the opportunity to run through drills and workouts with the US National Rowing Team coaches, as well as compete side-by-side with some of the top rowers in the country. The ID camp allows for the national team coaches to identify potential candidates to make up the 2017 team.

"Baylee has done a lot of work to be the first EMU rower to be invited to a US Rowing development camp, and has really stepped up to lead our sophomore class through her actions," EMU Head Coach Kemp Savage said.
