With the victory over Toledo, the Eagles (17-14, 9-9 MAC) finished the season tied for third in the MAC West Division with Northern Illinois University. NIU defeated Ball State University on the final day of the regular season, which setup a rematch for Eastern Michigan with Toledo Monday, March 7, at the Convocation Center.
