YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's basketball team was unable to match Western Michigan University's second-half offensive display Tuesday, Jan. 30, falling 71-57 inside the Convocation Center.
The Eagles (12-10, 3-6 MAC) came up short against the Broncos (13-9, 5-4 MAC) at home for the first time since Feb. 27, 2011, snapping a six-game win streak. EMU finished 37.5 percent from the field on 18-of-48 shooting, and shot 52.2 percent (12-of-23) in the second half. WMU hit at a modest 43.5 percent (27-of-62) clip overall, but shot 60 percent (18-of-30) in the final frame, connecting on seven triples.
