DEXTER, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan men's and women's track and cross country teams spent their weekend giving back, volunteering at the JDRF One Walk, Sunday, Sept. 23, at the Hudson Mills Metropark in Dexter, Mich.
JDRF One Walk is a fun, family-friendly event where dedicated walkers, volunteers, and sponsors raise money in an effort to make living with Type 1 Diabetes safer and healthier.
"We have volunteered at this great event for many years," said EMU Women's Cross Country Head Coach Sue Parks. "My sister, Nancy Kennedy, was one of the founders of the Ann Arbor JDRF One Walk.
