EMU Continues Competition at NCAA Championship

ATLANTA (EMUEagles.com) - An outstanding performance by senior swimmer Andrew Henry (Garner, N.C.-West Johnston) and a sensational showing by freshman diver Tom Gillis (Halifax, Nova Scotia-Citadel) on the springboard rounded out the Eastern Michigan University men's swimming and diving team's second day of competition at the NCAA Championships Friday, March 25.

Swimming the second fastest time in school history, just six-tenths off his own school record, Henry clocked in with a time of 1:34.87. The Garner, N.C. product's time fell a hair over five-tenths short of earning a lane in the consolation race and earning All-American Honorable Mention honors, ultimately placing 22nd.
