YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Eastern Michigan University's Department of Athletics is teaming up with the university organization called Swoop's Food Pantry which is a campus-based organization that is run by a leadership board consisting of EMU faculty, staff, students and alumni volunteers.
At the Saturday, Oct. 29, EMU football game, volunteers from Swoop's Food Pantry will be collecting non-perishable food items for the pantry itself. Fans who donate an item will receive a $5 single-game ticket for the nationally televised contest versus Miami University at 3:30 p.m. In addition to canned items, Swoop's also provides students with "on the go" snacks as well, such as granola bars, nuts and trail mix.
