YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Eastern Michigan University and EMU Athletics make the safety and comfort of fans our top priority. This season fans will notice increased security around all ticketed athletic events, beginning at the football team's home opener against Howard University, Sept. 1.
Attendees will now be required to walk through metal detectors when entering the Rynearson Stadium and George Gervin GameAbove Center. The University also implemented a clear bag policy to make entry quicker on game day.
These are purely preventative measures, but because they may cause slight delays moving around the area, fans might want to arrive a little earlier than they did last year.
