YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – It was another strong semester in the classroom for Eastern Michigan University student-athletes, as they combined to record a 3.173 grade point average (GPA) during the Winter of 2017, representing the sixth-highest mark in school history. Additionally, the cumulative GPA for all student-athletes was the department's second-best tally at 3.248.
This is the 15th term in a row EMU student-athletes have earned over a 3.0 GPA, the EMU Student-Athlete Support Services office announced Tuesday, May 9.
"Our coaches and student-athlete support staff have created a culture where academic excellence is expected and they recruit students who understand that expectation," said Interim Director of Athletics Christian Spears.
