YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University and Marshall University football programs announced on Tuesday, Aug. 6, that the teams will renew a non-conference series that has been dormant since 1998. Eastern will travel to Huntington, W.Va., during the 2026 season, Sept. 26, and the Thundering Herd will return to Ypsilanti during the 2028 campaign, Sept. 23.
Overall, Marshall and Eastern Michigan have played four times on the gridiron with MU having won three of the previous matchups. The series started in 1983 with EMU recording a 7-3 triumph at Rynearson Stadium. The last time the two squads met was Sept.
