ALLENDALE, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University track & field program gained value experience at Grand Valley State University's Big Meet today, Feb. 11, inside the Kelly Family Sports Center.
How It Happened
Graduate student Kadian Clarke (Kingston, Jamaica-Immaculate Conception) broke the school record in the weight throw with a toss of 21.54m. Coming into today, that distance would rank 15th in the nation. The thrower also placed first in the shot put with a throw of 15.5m. That mark is a personal best and good for second in program history.
