YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University tennis team put together an all-around impressive performance against NCAA Division II No. 23 Grand Valley State University Saturday, March 3, topping the Lakers 6-1 at the Chippewa Racquet Club.
"We did a good job of securing the doubles point and getting a lead that we could lean on against a very good Division II squad," said head coach Jayson Wiseman. "We knew as GLIAC champs, GVSU was playing with a lot of confidence and had the talent to really push us. At one point they were leading on five of six courts in singles, but fortunately our team was able to maintain our mental edge and come back to win all but one court.
