SHAMOKIN DAM, Pa. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University rowing team battled Patriot League foe Bucknell University and fellow Colonial Athletic Association member Villanova University on the Susquehanna River today, April 16.
EMU's 1V8+ boat picked up a win in its first of the day, edging Bucknell by less than a second, 6:40.24 to 6:41.04. Eastern's 2V8 clocked in at 6:57.94 in its race, but was outstroked by the Bison, who crossed the finish line in 6:54.08. Later in the day, the Green and White had another close race in the 2V8 boat, recording a time of 6:43.
