ORLANDO, Fla. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University tennis team finished the day in Orlando, Fla. with an even ledger Thursday, March 3. Eastern started the doubleheader against the University of Central Florida, falling 6-1, before besting the University of Charleston, 6-1. EMU remains .500 on the year, with an overall record of 8-8 in the spring season.
"Even short-handed, UCF is one of the best teams in the country," said Head Coach Jayson Wiseman. "We had some opportunities early on to take the doubles and to get some leads in singles matches, but we simply got outplayed doubles point.
