JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's golf team posted an opening round 309 at the Don Benbow Invitational Monday, March 7, to lead the 13-team field heading into Tuesday's final round. EMU holds a two stroke advantage over three teams that are tied for second (IUPUI, Butler, and Indiana State.) on the par 71, 6,021-yard Jacksonville Beach Golf Club course.

Battling windy conditions, Butler's Ally Ross leads the field at one-under 70, while EMU sophomore Anna Watson (Ashland, Ohio-Ashland) is second at even par.
