(EMUEagles.com) - Defensive miscues doomed the Eastern Michigan University softball team in its loss to No. 16/17 University of Michigan Tuesday afternoon, April 10 at Alumni Field inside the Wilpon Complex. The Eagles (6-28) could not overcome the Wolverine's (32-7) stout defense, as EMU was held without a hit in the 4-0 loss.
Junior Nicolle Miranda (Wilmington, Calif.-Port of Los Angeles) earned the start, going five innings of five-hit ball. Miranda drops to 2-15 on the season as she allowed four runs, including a solo home run.
