CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University tennis team earned Mid-American Conference Doubles Team of the Week honors, the league office announced Wednesday, May 5. Redshirt juniors Luisa Pelayo (Porto, Portugal-Colegio CEBES (Wright State)) and Grace Whitney (Imlay City, Mich.-Imlay City (Wright State)) collect the award for the third time this season.
The team has been tabbed for the honor seven times this year, with redshirt junior Vasavi Ganesan (Tamil Nadu, India-Alagappa Matriculation School) and redshirt freshman Isabelle Popma (Staphorst, Netherlands-Center for Sports and Education) claiming the last two.
