OXFORD, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University men's swimming and diving team began the hunt for its fourth consecutive Mid-American Conference Championships, Wednesday night, Feb. 28. EMU posted a first and third-place finish in a pair of relays to tie the Green and White for first-place with 72 points.
In the 200 medley relay, the Eagles turned in a season-best time of 1:27.89, claiming third in the race, as senior Logan Burton (Chesapeake, Va.-Hickory), junior Tosh Kawaguchi (Cary, N.C.-Cary), and freshmen Ben Brooks (Avon, Ohio-Avon) and Carter Swift (Shepparton, Victoria, Australia) teamed up to lead the Eagles.
