OXFORD, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University men's swimming and diving team will send 13 of its swimmers into Thursday night's championship heats at the Mid-American Conference Championships after a strong showing in the preliminary session, March 1. The Eagles clocked 10 new career-best times, while freshman Carter Swift (Shepparton, Victoria, Australia) won the 50 freestyle prelims.
The Eagles opened the morning with a strong showing in the 500 free as four of its swimmers will compete in tonight's finals. Sophomore Tanner Olmos (Clovis, Calif.-Buchanan) paced the Green and White, turning in a season-best time of 4:30.
