DETROIT, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University swimming and diving team returned to competition Saturday, Jan. 11 against Wayne State at the Matthaei Natatorium, winning all 13 events and defeating the Warriors, 193-49. Eastern also picked up five podium sweeps.
Leading the way for the Eagles were juniors Bethany Berger (Batavia, Ohio-Glen Este) and Meike Staffeldt (Niedersachsen, Germany), who each picked up two wins for EMU.
Berger won both 1-meter and 3-meter diving events, setting new career-best scores in each event at 291.22 and 305.
