(EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University volleyball team took down Purdue Fort Wayne in a thrilling 3-1 non-conference victory Tuesday, Sept. 16, inside the Convocation Center. After EMU dropped the first set 18-25, it responded by winning in four sets taking the last three by score of 25-15, 25-13, and 25-15. The Eagles victory marked its first win against the Mastodons since 2015.
EMU (4-5) dominated on offense, outhitting the Mastodons .293 to .097 and producing 60 kills to Purdue Fort Wayne's 37. Eastern Michigan also kept Purdue Fort Wayne (3-8) at bay by out-blocking the Mastodons, 11.
