Eagles mount comeback on MSU

Trailing by one going into the sixth inning, the Eastern Michigan Eagles mounted a comeback, scoring three runs in the last four innings to knock off Michigan State University, 4-2.

EMU’s pitching was the strong point once again, allowing only five hits and one earned run. Starter Brent Mattson pitched 5.2 innings, giving up three hits and an earned run. Sam Delaplane and Michael Marsinek would finish the game for the Eagles, combining to pitch the remaining innings. Marsinek would get his first win and Delaplane notched his second save of the season.

Catcher Tony DiLeo led the Eagles offense, batting 2-for-3 with a homer and two RBIs.
