YPSILANTI, Mich./ OXFORD, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University tennis team will take on a pair of Mid-American Conference foes this weekend in Western Michigan and Miami (OH) Friday, March 19 and Sunday, March 21, respectively. The matchup against Western Michigan will take place at the Chippewa Club at 1 p.m., while the competition against Miami will be in Oxford, Ohio at 1 p.m.
Eastern (6-6; 0-2 MAC) started conference play 0-2 after falling to Ball State, March 12, and Northern Illinois, March 14. Both matches ended with a 1-6 score. The Eagles saw singles wins from redshirt freshmen Isabelle Popma (Staphorst, Netherlands-Center for Sport and Education) and Emma-Lou Pommiers (Aire-sur-I'Adour, France-Saint Dominique Pau).
