ANN ARBOR, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Facing its tallest task so far this season, the Eastern Michigan University softball team made the short trip to Alumni Field to take on the second-ranked Wolverines of the University of Michigan Wednesday, March 16. No. 2 Michigan (21-2) proved to be too much for the Eagles (7-11) to handle as the Green and White fell, 14-1, in the battle of Washtenaw County.
Freshman Nicolle Miranda (Wilmington, Calif.-Port of Los Angeles) earned the nod in the circle. Pitching 2.1 innings, Miranda allowed eight runs on five hits, dropping her season record to 3-7.
