Eagles Fall On Road to Chippewas

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's basketball team could not overcome a second half barrage from the charity stripe by Central Michigan University, as the Eagles fell to the Chippewas, 86-82, in Mid-American Conference action Tuesday night, Jan. 29, in McGuirk Arena.

Foul trouble plagued EMU (9-12, 3-5 MAC) all game, as CMU (15-6, 4-4 MAC) knocked down 26-of-28 attempts from the free throw line, including 21-of-22 in the second half alone. The Green and White, meanwhile, went 8-of-13 from the line. The loss snapped Eastern's six-game win streak against Central.
