YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University baseball team bounced back with a solid 6-1 win over Concordia University Wednesday evening, April 11, at Oestrike Stadium. EMU (11-19, 5-4 MAC) led from start to finish over the Cardinals (23-10, 5-6 WHAC).
Both the offense and defense excelled, as EMU knocked out nine hits, while only allowing five hits of its own. Leading the offense was sophomore Zachary Owings (Saline, Mich.-Saline) who finished with three hits as well as an RBI. Redshirt freshman Mike Monahan (Saline, Mich.-Saline) had a career-day in his first career start, notching his first two hits as an Eagle, as well as driving in his first run.
