MINNEAPOLIS (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's soccer team opened a three-game road trip Friday, Aug. 26, against the University of Iowa at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium. An early goal by the Hawkeyes (1-1-0) and a 19-2 shot differential clipped the Eagles (0-1-1), 1-0.

Sophomore goalkeeper Kaylin Williams (Kansas City, Mo.-Winnetonka) made a season-high six saves in the loss.

Iowa pressured the Eagles' back line early and often, eventually taking an early lead in the eighth minute. After breaking through on a run, the Hawkeyes played a ball from the end line to the edge of the six where UI tapped it in for a 1-nil lead.
