Eagle Offense Stalls in Defeat to Notre Dame

NOTRE DAME, Ind. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University baseball team was unable to capitalize on several scoring chances in a 5-0 defeat to the University of Notre Dame Wednesday evening, April 26 at Frank Eck Stadium. EMU (17-24) pounded out nine hits, but went just 1-for-9 with runners in scoring position in the game.

The Eagles went with a pitching staff by committee approach, as six pitchers saw time on the rubber throughout the night. Four tossed scoreless frames, led by freshman James Harness (Huber Heights, Ohio-Wayne) who threw three scoreless with three strikeouts.
