YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — It is a special day for any student-athlete at Eastern Michigan University when receiving a official letterman's jacket from the E-Club Alumni Chapter, a group of former EMU varsity athletic letterwinners. That newest honor of letterman was bestowed upon 45 student-athletes for their participation in athletics this fall. The ceremony was held Tuesday night, Jan. 17, prior to the men's basketball game at the Convocation Center.
The ceremony returned in 2014 after a couple year hiatus to honor each first-year student-athlete with their letterman's jacket. The E-Club holds two inductions each academic year to honor student-athletes who have met the criteria to earn a letterman's jacket.
