YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Eastern Michigan University gymnastics student-athlete Emili Dobronics (Orland Park, Ill.-Carl Sandburg) was named to the 2020 Academic All-District® Women's At-Large Team the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced Thursday, May 21.
The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. To be eligible for Academic All-District® consideration, a student-athlete must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 and have reached sophomore standing.
A first-time winner of the award, Dobronics is just the third EMU gymnast to earn the accolade, joining Kendal Valentin (2018) and Cortney Bezold (2019).
