After two seasons as the defensive line coach on Chris Creighton’s staff for Eastern Michigan, it’s been reported by FootballScoop.com that Jimmy Williams has accepted a job at Western Michigan University as the defensive line coach.
Williams will be joining P.J. Fleck’s staff after a trio of coaches would leave for other positions. Former defensive line coach Vinson Reynolds accepted a job at Syracuse under former Bowling Green State University head coach Dino Babers.
Williams becomes the second coach in three years to leave EMU for WMU, as former running back coach and University of Michigan RB Mike Hart accepted a job with WMU at the beginning of Creighton’s tenure in 2013.
