LAWRENCE, Kan. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's golf team wrapped competition at the 2024 Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational in Lawrence, Kan., Tuesday, Oct. 8, with Savannah de Bock finishing in a four-way tie for second place in the two-day event played at the Lawrence Country Club. As a team, the Eagles finished 12th overall in the event hosted and won by the University of Kansas.
Individually, de Bock (Ecaussinnes-d'enghien, Belgium/Institut de l'Enfant-Jésus-Lycée/Georgia) continued her hot play as she tied for runner-up honors with a 3-under 213 (72-71-70) as she climbed from a tie for eighth to the second spot in the final round.
