GREENWOOD, Ind. (EMUEagles.com) – Recognized for its success in and out of the pool, the Eastern Michigan University Swimming and Diving team had three student-athletes named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team, the organization announced Tuesday, Feb. 28. Named to the prestigious academic list were seniors Lainie Bell (Atlanta, Ga.-Druid Hills-Northern Arizona) and Keira Veltigian (Oxford, Mich.-Oxford), as well as junior Katie Shoen (Owego, N.Y.-Owego Free Academy).
Earning the distinction for the first time, Bell, Veltigian, and Shoen became just the sixth, seventh, and eighth Eagles in program history to earn Academic All-District honors, respectively.
