KANSAS CITY, Mo. (EMUEagles.com) - The United Soccer Coaches announced that Eastern Michigan University soccer sophomore Amanda Cripps (Bradford, Ontario-Trinity Catholic) and redshirt senior Sabrina McNeill (Whitby, Ontario-Henry Street) were named to the All-Midwest Region Second Team today, May 13.
The honor marks the third-straight all-region recognition for McNeill, becoming the first player in program history to collect the accolade in three consecutive seasons. This is the first national recognition for Cripps in her young career, who just completed her sophomore season with the Eagles. Moreover, this is the first time since the 2013 season EMU has had multiple players named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region team, when Angela Vultaggio and Emily Dzik garnered third team honors.
