CALEDON, Ontario (EMUEagles.com) - Eastern Michigan University sophomore Cougar Collins (Caledon, Ontario, Canada-Mayfield Secondary) has received a sponsor's exemption to compete in the inaugural Osprey Valley Open on the Mackenzie Tour – PGA TOUR Canada.
Collins, who recently completed his freshman season at EMU and plays out of Osprey Valley, will compete as an amateur against some of the world's top up-and-coming professionals in the event scheduled for July 19-22.
"Being able to play in the Osprey Valley Open is an incredible honor for me," said Collins. "Being able to compete against a field of this caliber is a huge opportunity to test myself and gain valuable experience, I cannot wait to play against these players next month.
