RALEIGH, N.C. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University women's track and field senior Natalie Cizmas (Clinton Twp., Mich.-Chippewa Valley) ran to a fifth-place finish in the 800m at the Raleigh Relays Saturday, March 31, in Raleigh, N.C.
The senior raced to an impressive time of 2:09.58, winning her heat and besting the likes of 18 other runners. That mark serves as a new outdoor personal record for Cizmas, and also serves as the fastest 800m time in the Mid-American Conference thus far this season.
With that performance, Cizmas caps off an incredible weekend of competition, having broke the 1500m school record in last night's race with a time of 4:16.
