(EMUEagles.com) – After firing an opening round 293 at the Rutherford Intercollegiate, the Eastern Michigan University men's golf team turned in a 284 to finish the opening day with a cumulative score of 577 in sixth-place. The tournament is being hosted by Penn State University at the par-71, 7,183-yard PSU Blue Course.
Junior Beau Breault (Hartland, Mich.-Hartland) and freshman Cougar Collins (Caledon, Ontario, Canada-Mayfield Secondary) reside inside the top-15 spots after firing 142 to sit in a 14th-place tie. Breault notched his sixth rounds of par-or-better this season with a second round 70 after opening with a 72.
