CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) - The Mid-American Conference announced that Eastern Michigan University student-athletes swept the Scholar Athlete of the Week awards today, April 21. Seniors Bethany Berger (Batavia, Ohio-Glen Este) and Nick Jones (Battle Creek, Mich.-Lakeview) of the EMU swimming and diving and baseball teams earned the honors.
The Scholar Athlete of the Week awards mark the second for both Berger and Jones in their respective careers, and first time Eastern Michigan has swept the accolades since Feb. 28, 2018, when Alsu Bogdanova of the track and field team and Max Schuemann of the baseball collected the honors.
