PENSACOLA, Fla. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University baseball team came away with a wild 11-5 extra inning victory over Nicholls State University Saturday afternoon, March 3, on day two of the Cox Diamond Invitational. EMU (2-8), who was down two in the ninth inning, went on to tie it and win in an eventful 10th inning.
It was a sloppy contest overall, as both teams combined for 13 errors, including nine from Nicholls State (1-9). EMU's offense was still potent though, getting its 11 runs on 14 hits, its sixth such effort in 10 games.
